mike asked:

I think that I take different aspects from different religions but I’m not sure. I want to follow one religion and truly believe it.
I believe that everyone is a form of God, with God inside of them. Not all part of God, but that everyone is God. I don’t believe in any man with a big beard as God, but rather as an energetic force. I believe in equality by gender, race, age…I believe in peaceful ways. I believe that it’s important to have a healthy mind, spirit and body. I believe that we should accept people’s points of view. I believe that praying/talking to God, is achieved when we sit and think and focus on ourselves (since we are God). I believe that we can do anything if we set out mind to it. I believe that we will be reincarnated with the same spirit as the previous life. I believe that balance is important in life (mind, body, spirit).

Please I’m just looking for something that I can truly believe in, I’m so confused.

Thanks in advance.
i think that everyone is god, because everyone can create, destroy…and can just be vehicles of this energy that’s inside of them..i can choose to create love or destroy hate, isn’t this divine?
i believe when someone is “speaking to god” they’re really just contacting their conscience, their energetic force, they’re making a strong link between themselves and this force inside of everyone

Is the mind or spirit something tangible?

I would equate the body/brain to computer hardware (processor, hard drive, ram etc…)

and the spirit/soul to something like software, nothing tangible, just processes that run on the hardware…once the hardware dies, these programs cease to function….

How do you see it?

Is Zen a contradiction of Christianity?

musicimprovedme asked:

I had this argument with a friend of mine, we are both Christians and I have no intention of converting.

But I love what the eastern teachings have to offer in life principles, with regard to sanctuary and simplicity, purposeful and meditative actions, and allllll the healing arts like aromatherapy and massage…understanding the mind body spirit connection. It seems to make so much SENSE.

I have no reason as a Christian to think that I wasn’t meant to be sensible and I personally don’t see the problem but my friend is really worried that I am going to go Buddhist on her and end up in hell. I think she is being pretty narrow minded and her comments actually hurt my feelings a lot.

I’m looking for intelligent answers from people who know something about both teachings???
Wow, such interest, thank you!

I would like to say something that continues to puzzle me about my experience as a Christian.

I find myself surrounded by preachers and teachers who live in fear. I don’t know why.

People afraid of ideas, information, and words…warning of this and that, and it seems downright superstitious. And I wonder how living this way can possibly be evidence of faith.

Re: blind faith? I don’t know if I would call it that. I am resigned to the idea that I don’t have all the answers but someone out there does? So in that way I have faith in God.

Re: concentrating on the needs of the flesh…well, I guess I shouldn’t have to eat or shower anymore, since I am so utterly consumed with the spiritual matters of life. If you have a body, you can’t NOT address the needs of the body even if it is only a temporary home for your soul.

could it be true that our physical body is only the result of our spirit?

Misse asked:

“so we mold our spirit withour minds? could it be true that we make choices with our minds and from those choices we create our lives and our physical livesare the result of the choices we make?”

This is a concept i’m trying to grasp i would love to hear your opinion..take a look at this quote: “Spirit is the life, Mind is the builder, and Physical is the Result”

In what form the memory lives in our body?

choosy_yash asked:

In what form the memory lives in our body?

I have the answer. The memory do not locate in our body among the cell. It locates in the aura of our body that is concerned and connected with the soul also. To proove like this - Do you agree with me?

1. after the death of the body the spirit; ghost do not forget their past life.

2. The brain works only as scanner to scan the past history present in the aura. To remember a very old event we have to “think”. that is our brain is scanning the aura.

3. Between very close friends; husband/wife those who have love and inter relationship. One’s aura can scan others aura and discovers what he is thinking and what is in the mind.

4. If all information is locating among the cells of body then most of the population might have forgotten in the brain accidents, fever, tumors.

5. More rich aura more rich memory, Child memory is less then adult. why they could not remember the moments when they were breast feeded by their mothers….

Nowhere Man asked:

does man have the potential to equal god, if he created us in his own image(mind, body, spirit)?
man is eternal, if you do believe in heaven that is.
man is a creator also.
