Is love a choice or a feeling?

Cherry Blossom asked:

I say it’s a feeling, my friend says it is a choice. I was reading this book that keeps saying love is a choice (Book is called Love Dare)

What do you think? And why?

I just think it’s a feeling because of what happens to you in your body, mind and spirit when you love someone. It can ‘feel’ like a choice when you’re going through rough times, but sometimes keeps you there if you love the person, even if you don’t want to love them anymore.

ANYWAYS

What do you think?

Is there a program that is guaranteed to get me to pursue my goals and complete them in a timely manner?

I need a good kick in the ass every day of my life. I need to retrain some bad habbits and get me further along in life. I have some great successes but like many Americans … I’M GREEDY and want it all NOW! “You woke up the baby…and I’m a big spoiled brat or at least I want to be.” We want more, we need more of everything but I’m still waiting for some body else to give it to me. I wish I was born rich, I wish I was born rich, wait … I’m American … I was born rich … richer then most but I want even more of the Good life. I need some new thinking process’s to motivate me and keep me motivated to grab for more then money I want success in all areas of my life … mind, body, spirit and free time to pursue all these great things like travel and meeting new people.

Are our minds connected to something outside of our body? Is there any evidence of this?

Posted in mind body spirit on May 8th, 2009 by twice212 – 4 Comments
asked:

I have been thinking lately about how we can “survive” death unless our mind is connected to something outside of our body. Because I’ve been thinking about this so much, it’s putting me on the edge of materialism. That is totally out of character for me! I just don’t understand how our spirit wouldn’t die with our body. It has to be connected to some other source.
That gets me to thinking even more.
Is there any evidence of this out there?

Why do you think it`s sooo haard to forgive, and ask others to forgive us when we know we should do so?

Posted in mind body spirit on May 4th, 2009 by twice212 – 1 Comment
avid reader I love people. asked:

Comon` We`ve all been there, some of us are in that bind now as we comunicate, why is it just sooo hard to do? did you know asking ones forgiveness, and forgiving others helps to mend, and starts a healing process within the mind, body, spirit? and when we don`t forgive, we allow that person to hold us as a prisoner, and it can make one ill,not really knowing why they`re feeling sick.So if one wants to be healthy & free? they must forgive and ask others forgiveness.”,just Let it go, get over it”, so that they can move to another level and heal by the grace of God who forgives us all.
Thats really nice, “evidently unforgiveness is not a factor for you.”

Have you Heard the Great Wisdom of The Darrell Scott Testamony?

Posted in mind body spirit on April 24th, 2009 by twice212 – 5 Comments
EZMZ asked:

DARRELL SCOTT TESTIMONY

Guess our national leaders didn’t expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

“Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain’s heart.

“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today:

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You’ve stripped away our heritage,
You’ve outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question “Why?”
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

“Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational
systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries.. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs — politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

“As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA — I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your
own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter’s death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!”

Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man’s speech.. Please send this out to everyone

Nicholas

Do you think your spirit could have a mind?

Posted in mind body spirit on April 22nd, 2009 by twice212 – 13 Comments
Deenie asked:

Like when you astral travel …your spirit leaves your body (including your brain) and you can still think. Or…for example spirits/ghosts who seem to be able to think and sometimes even talk (although not with vocal cords). I wonder if you really need a physical brain to think. What are your thoughts on this. (Assuming you believe about ghosts / spirits and astral travel. No sense in answering if you don’t.)
green..Maybe he was saying”If you want the answer to that…buy my books . ” lol
hislady …I’ve heard someone call my name out loud..but have just about decided it was someone astral traveling. Also I’ve heard LOUD voices..but without vocal cords…like they were yelling at me because I didn’t believe I was hearing them.
valadent…Thanks for “thinking”. That’s what this section is about..coming up with answers and possibilities.
Incognito….I agree..balance is very important..else you can lose your mind and maybe your spirit too. Well, maybe not…but you can sure get confused!lol

Kimmy asked:

I am getting a tattoo this summer of the script that is written on my black belt. Now, I know that it means ‘mind, body, spirit’ but I am not quite sure whether it is written in Korean or Chinese. If you know either of these languages and could help, I would really appreciate it. [Just follow the link for a picture]
